Andrei A. Solin is a Senior Associate at the Paris office of Gaillard Banifatemi Shelbaya Disputes. He holds a Magister Juris degree from the University of Oxford and graduated cum laude with a degree in international law from Belarusian State University. He is a qualified solicitor of England and Wales. His practice focuses on disputes in the energy sector, as well as matters concerning Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. He has extensive experience in international arbitration proceedings conducted under the ICSID, UNCITRAL, SCC, and ICC Rules.
He also advises on public international law and has substantial expertise in arbitration-related court proceedings, including extensive work on the enforcement of the awards rendered in the landmark “Yukos case”. He has acted for the governments of Georgia, Lithuania, and Ukraine, and has advised on issues relating to investment protection laws of Kazakhstan. He is included in the lists of arbitrators of various arbitration centres, including in Dubai (DIAC) and Tashkent (TIAC).
