Ana Khurtsidze

Ana Khurtsidze is a Georgian legal scholar, mediator, and academic leader specializing in alternative dispute resolution and legal education. She serves as Dean of the Law School at the University of Georgia and is the founder and president of the research institute Gnomon Wise, a platform dedicated to interdisciplinary research, policy analysis, and the promotion of evidence-based legal and governance reforms at both national and international levels.
Ms. Khurtsidze is an active member of global professional networks, including the UN Global Mediation Panel and the International Academy of Dispute Resolution, where she serves as president-elect. She also contributes as an expert to the Council of Europe’s CEPEJ Expert Pool and participates in international initiatives focused on mediation, access to justice, and institutional development. As an invited lecturer and speaker, she teaches at several universities across Europe and the United States. Ms. Khurtsidze is also a certified mediator, trainer, and publisher of the journal GEOpolitics.
Her work focuses on advancing mediation standards, legal reform, and ethical leadership. Through teaching, research, and extensive international engagement, she continues to promote innovation and excellence in dispute resolution and legal systems development.
