Akzhan Sheraliyeva

Akzhan Sheraliyeva recently completed her LL.M. at Columbia Law School, specializing in international arbitration and cross-border dispute resolution. She currently serves as a Judicial Extern at the Supreme Court of the State of New York. During her studies, she served as a Research Assistant to Professors Kabir A.N. Duggal and George A. Bermann, and as a Staff Editor of The American Review of International Arbitration.
Akzhan also continues to work with GRATA International, where she focuses on international arbitration, commercial litigation, and the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards. She has represented multinational clients in complex cross-border disputes.
Akzhan is actively involved in the international moot court community and regularly participates as a judge, arbitrator in leading competitions, including the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and Jessup Moot Court Competition. In 2026, she served as an arbitrator in Vis pre-moot competitions hosted by Harvard Law School and Fordham University School of Law. Her professional interests include international arbitration, investor-state dispute settlement, and cross-border disputes.
